Job Summary:
SuperEats is building Fiji’s first serious ready-to-eat food production kitchen — delivering freshly made food through the Superstore platform. We’re expanding our kitchen team and looking for a trained chef to work alongside our international culinary team.
This role is ideal for someone with solid cooking foundations who wants to grow fast. You’ll be working directly with internationally experienced chefs in a production environment — learning systems, standards, and techniques you won’t find anywhere else in Fiji.
What You’ll Do:
- Execute recipes and production tasks to spec under Head Chef direction
- Manage your station — prep, cook, hold, and plate to standard
- Maintain strict food safety, temperature control, and hygiene protocols
- Support menu development and contribute ideas when asked
- Train and guide Kitchen Hands on your station
- Assist with stock management, labelling, and rotation
- Uphold kitchen discipline — clean as you go, no shortcuts
- Communicate proactively with the Head Chef on production status
What We Are Looking For:
- Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 2 years working in a commercial kitchen
- Strong knife skills and sound cooking technique across at least one cuisine
- Ability to work at pace without compromising quality or hygiene
- Coachable — open to feedback and willing to adapt to new systems
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Nice To Have:
- Experience in high-volume production or catering environments
- Knowledge of multiple cuisines
- Food safety certification
Working Hours
This is a full-time role across a 7-day production operation. Rostered shifts including mornings, afternoons, and weekends. Exact roster confirmed on hire.
